freeWAIS-sf version 1.1 sources:
-rw-rw-r-- 1 hiramc grunts 9049983 Jul 24 11:09 fw-sf-1.1.tar.Z
-rwxrwxr-x 1 hiramc grunts 741 May 12 16:29 indexsfftp.sh
-rwxrwxr-x 1 hiramc grunts 727 May 12 16:29 indexsfhtml.sh
-rwxr-xr-x 1 hiramc grunts 23442 May 12 16:51 kidsf1.1.pl
The files here are used to run the WAIS indexing system on the
gruntsco html pages. See http://gruntsco.pdev.sco.com
one of the very first links on that page leads to the
indices created by this WAIS system.
The files here contain all the ported source for the system
and the binary executables in fw-sf-1.1-tar.Z
The two index*.sh scripts run the indexing system.
The kidsf1.1.pl interfaces Mosaic to the index to present
concise URLs to the Mosaic reader.
To use this stuff, you will have to decide where the binaries
and indices live on your system, and adjust the scripts accordingly.
Also adjust the kidsf1.1.pl access script to display the
proper maintainer and system http prefixes. Read the scripts
and adjust them to your system.
I believe my setup has the binaries living in /usr/local/bin:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 hiramc grunts 777165 May 12 09:34 waisindexsf1.1
-rwxr-xr-x 1 hiramc grunts 1257779 May 12 09:35 waisqsf1.1
-rwxr-xr-x 1 hiramc grunts 1132179 May 12 09:15 waisservsf1.1
These binaries with their original names are in the tar file.
And the indices are living in: /usr/wais/wais-sources
(this is set in the indexing scripts, and in the kidsf1.1.pl
access script)
